Professional Surveyor/Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Professional Surveyor/Project Manager to lead surveying and project delivery activities across a varied portfolio of construction, infrastructure, land development, or property-related projects. This role will suit a technically capable professional who can manage projects from initial feasibility and surveying through to completion, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, quality, and client service.

Responsibilities will include conducting and overseeing site surveys, preparing measurements, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports, and coordinating design, procurement, and construction activities. You will develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, risk registers, and documentation; monitor progress against agreed milestones; and identify and resolve technical, commercial, and operational issues. The role will also involve appointing and managing contractors and consultants, reviewing work for compliance with drawings, specifications, regulations, and relevant standards, and providing clear progress updates to clients and stakeholders. You may also support planning applications, contract administration, site inspections, variations, valuations, and final account processes.

Applicants should hold a relevant qualification in surveying, project management, civil engineering, construction, or a related discipline, together with proven experience in a surveying and project delivery environment. Professional accreditation or progress toward chartered status would be advantageous. Strong knowledge of surveying methods, construction processes, contract procedures, health and safety requirements, and applicable legislation is expected. You will need excellent organisational, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency with surveying equipment, project management systems, CAD or other relevant technical software, and standard office applications is desirable. A full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites may be required.
