We are seeking a Senior Associate, M&A, to support the origination and execution of strategic transactions across a range of sectors and geographies. This role will suit an experienced corporate finance professional who combines strong technical capability with commercial judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, clients and advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial opportunity assessment through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include preparing valuation analyses, financial models, market assessments, transaction structures, board materials and client presentations. You will conduct detailed industry and company research, evaluate acquisition and divestment opportunities, coordinate due diligence workstreams and support the negotiation of transaction documentation. You will also take ownership of day-to-day project management, including maintaining timetables, reviewing adviser outputs, identifying key risks and ensuring that deliverables meet a consistently high standard. The role will involve regular interaction with senior executives and require the confidence to present findings and recommendations clearly.

Candidates should have significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, corporate finance, private equity or a closely related field, gained within a leading professional services or financial institution. A strong understanding of accounting, valuation methodologies, financial modelling and transaction processes is essential, together with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Relevant professional qualifications or a degree in finance, economics, accounting, business or another numerate discipline are desirable. You will be analytical, detail-oriented and commercially aware, with the ability to develop trusted relationships, coach junior colleagues and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. A track record of managing complex projects and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines is required.
