We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex water infrastructure and civil engineering projects. This role will support clients across transportation, municipal, industrial, and environmental sectors, with a focus on stormwater management, drainage, flood risk reduction, hydrology, and hydraulic systems. You will provide technical leadership from concept development through detailed design, construction support, and project closeout.
Responsibilities will include managing water resources studies; preparing hydrologic and hydraulic models; developing drainage, detention, conveyance, erosion control, and flood mitigation solutions; and producing technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, review deliverables for quality and compliance, support permitting and regulatory approvals, and work directly with clients, contractors, public agencies, and other stakeholders. The role may also involve preparing proposals, developing scopes and budgets, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to project and business development activities.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related discipline, and substantial professional experience in water resources engineering. Professional registration as a P.E., or the ability to obtain it, is required. Strong knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater regulations, floodplain analysis, and relevant design standards is essential. Experience with software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, Civil 3D, or comparable modelling and design platforms is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate sound technical judgment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the confidence to lead teams and manage competing priorities. A collaborative, proactive approach and willingness to contribute to a dynamic project environment are essential.
