Portfolio Associate

We are seeking a commercially minded Portfolio Associate to support the management, analysis and ongoing development of a diversified investment portfolio. Working closely with senior investment professionals, you will contribute to portfolio monitoring, performance analysis, market research and the preparation of materials for internal and external stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to investment decision-making, portfolio strategy and risk management within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing financial and operational performance, maintaining portfolio data and models, and preparing regular reports, presentations and investment updates. You will conduct research into companies, sectors and market trends; support valuation analysis and financial modelling; and assist with due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio reviews. You will also help track key performance indicators, identify emerging risks and opportunities, coordinate information requests, and ensure that records and documentation are accurate, complete and up to date. The role may involve liaising with advisers, management teams and other external stakeholders while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

The successful candidate will have experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, corporate finance, private equity, asset management or a related field. You should possess strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex information clearly. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. An understanding of accounting principles, valuation techniques and investment risk is desirable. You will be organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently while contributing effectively to a wider team. Relevant professional qualifications or progress towards them may be advantageous.
