Project Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with project managers, design consultants, contractors, suppliers, regulators, and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved scope, programme, budget, and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with project planning, design coordination, procurement, construction supervision, commissioning, and close-out activities. You will review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, risk assessments, method statements, and construction documentation, identifying issues and coordinating timely resolutions. You will monitor progress on site, support the management of variations and technical queries, contribute to cost and programme reporting, and ensure that health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements are consistently maintained. The role may involve supporting projects associated with water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, pipelines, reservoirs, networks, and related infrastructure.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree or professional qualification in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, or process engineering, together with experience working on infrastructure, utilities, construction, or engineering projects. Knowledge of water and wastewater systems, contract administration, construction practices, and applicable technical and regulatory standards is highly desirable. You will need strong communication, organisation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. A proactive approach, attention to detail, and commitment to safe and sustainable project delivery are essential.
