We are seeking an Interface Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable interfaces between software applications, platforms, and external systems. You will work closely with software engineers, solution architects, product specialists, and stakeholders to understand integration needs and deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. The role will involve translating technical and business requirements into effective interface designs while ensuring that systems exchange data accurately and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include developing and supporting APIs, web services, messaging interfaces, and data integrations across a range of applications. You will analyse existing interfaces, identify opportunities for improvement, troubleshoot integration issues, and contribute to the resolution of incidents in a timely manner. You will also create technical documentation, interface specifications, data mappings, and test plans, while supporting functional, performance, and end-to-end testing. Ensuring compliance with security, availability, monitoring, and data quality standards will be an important part of the role.
The successful candidate will have experience in interface or integration engineering, software development, or a closely related technical discipline. You should be comfortable working with REST and SOAP services, JSON and XML, authentication methods, and common integration patterns. Familiarity with SQL, scripting, version control, CI/CD practices, cloud technologies, and integration or messaging platforms would be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues. We are looking for someone organised, collaborative, and proactive, who can manage competing priorities and contribute positively throughout the full interface development lifecycle.

We are seeking an experienced E&M Interfaces Lead Engineer to coordinate the technical integration of electrical and mechanical systems across a complex engineering or infrastructure programme. The successful candidate will act as the key interface between design disciplines, delivery teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that systems are compatible, coordinated, and delivered in line with technical, safety, quality, and programme requirements.
Responsibilities will include developing and maintaining the E&M interface management strategy, identifying and controlling technical interfaces, and ensuring that responsibilities, requirements, assumptions, and dependencies are clearly documented. You will lead interface workshops, review design information, manage interface registers, track actions and risks, and support the timely resolution of technical issues. The role will involve close collaboration with engineering, construction, testing and commissioning teams, as well as reviewing contractor and supplier submissions to confirm compliance with approved requirements. You will also contribute to design reviews, change control, technical assurance, system integration activities, and readiness assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in electrical, mechanical, building services, systems engineering, or a related discipline, together with significant experience in E&M coordination, interface management, systems integration, or a comparable engineering environment. Experience delivering complex projects involving multiple contractors and technical disciplines is essential. You should be confident interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation, with a sound understanding of engineering assurance, configuration control, risk management, and health and safety requirements. Strong communication, stakeholder management, organisation, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to influence others and make well-informed decisions in a demanding project environment.
