We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Supervisor to oversee fire prevention, protection, and emergency preparedness across a busy operational environment. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe workplace by ensuring that fire safety procedures, systems, and equipment are properly implemented, inspected, and maintained. This role involves working closely with employees, contractors, visitors, and relevant external authorities to promote a strong culture of safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities include conducting regular fire risk assessments, workplace inspections, and evacuation drills; identifying hazards and recommending appropriate corrective actions; and ensuring that fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, sprinkler systems, fire doors, and related equipment are tested and serviced in accordance with legal and operational requirements. You will maintain accurate records, investigate fire-related incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and monitor the completion of remedial work. The role will also involve delivering fire safety inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training, as well as coordinating emergency response arrangements and supporting evacuation procedures when required.

Applicants should have proven experience in fire safety, facilities management, security, emergency response, or a related field, together with a recognised fire safety or health and safety qualification. A sound understanding of applicable fire safety legislation, risk assessment principles, and emergency planning is essential. Experience supervising personnel and contractors, carrying out audits, and maintaining compliance documentation would be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will be observant, organised, confident, and able to remain calm under pressure. Strong communication and report-writing skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency call-outs, may be necessary.
