Quality Assurance Technician - BoP / Civil

We are currently seeking an experienced CT QA BoP Site Technician to support the construction of a major onshore wind energy project in Germany.

This is a site-based contract role focused on quality assurance and quality control activities relating to Balance of Plant (BoP) and concrete foundation works. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction activities are delivered in line with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The position involves on-site quality surveillance, inspection activities, subcontractor quality oversight, documentation control, and the management of non-conformities throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and supervise the project Quality Control Plan (QCP) on site.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures, technical specifications, and quality standards.
  • Perform site inspections of BoP and foundation works, including inspection and hold points.
  • Identify, report, and manage quality deviations and non-conformities.
  • Review and validate subcontractor quality documentation including:
    • Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
    • Inspection records
    • Material certificates
    • Test reports
    • As-built documentation
  • Verify incoming materials and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing activities, laboratories, and third-party quality organisations.
  • Conduct quality audits of subcontractors and project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders.
  • Participate in site coordination meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Essential

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience within civil construction quality assurance/quality control roles.
  • Experience inspecting and supervising concrete foundation works.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures, technical specifications, and construction standards.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and quality documentation effectively.
  • Fluent English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Desirable

  • Experience within onshore wind energy projects.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, processes, and tools.
  • Spanish language skills.
  • Experience working in international project environments.
