Senior Quality Inspector (Civil/Structural)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Inspector (Civil/Structural) to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across civil and structural construction works. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, method statements, applicable codes, and project requirements. You will work closely with construction, engineering, subcontractor, and commissioning teams to promote a strong quality culture and support the timely completion of works.

Key responsibilities will include inspecting reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, earthworks, drainage, roads, utilities, coatings, waterproofing, and associated civil works. You will review material approvals, technical submittals, method statements, risk assessments, and inspection requests; witness testing and verify that results meet specified standards. The role will involve maintaining accurate inspection records, preparing daily and quality reports, monitoring non-conformances, and supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions. You will also participate in audits, surveillance activities, toolbox talks, and progress meetings, while ensuring that quality documentation and handover records are complete and traceable.

Applicants should have substantial experience in civil and structural inspection, preferably on major construction, infrastructure, industrial, or energy projects. A relevant technical qualification or degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction, or a related discipline is required, together with recognised quality or inspection certifications where applicable. You should be confident interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, familiar with international construction standards, and experienced in using inspection and test plans and quality management systems. Strong communication, reporting, organisational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, challenge non-compliant work professionally, and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders. A valid site safety qualification and relevant inspection credentials for concrete, steel, welding, or coatings would be advantageous.
