Our onshore wind client has a requirement for a freelance BOP Manager to oversea civil works for their WTG concrete tower assembly team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control project costs, ensuring delivery within approved budgets and identifying opportunities for optimisation
  • Oversee contract compliance throughout the civil works and site preparation phases
  • Work closely with site teams to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans and risk mitigation measures
  • Ensure all sites are adequately resourced in terms of personnel, equipment and materials
  • Monitor progress across multiple sites, prepare reporting and provide clear updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support site supervisors in resolving construction issues, delays and technical challenges
  • Maintain full compliance with health and safety, quality and environmental standards across all activities
  • Act as a key link between site operations and internal departments during the construction and site readiness stages

Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years' experience managing construction projects, ideally within wind energy, infrastructure or heavy civil works
  • Strong commercial awareness with proven experience in budget control and cost management
  • Experience in project planning, including scheduling, resource allocation and risk management
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Good understanding of wind farm construction activities, equipment and applicable standards
  • Familiarity with project planning and cost control tools such as MS Project or Primavera
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required
