Manager, Project Controls Cost & Scheduling
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Project Controls Cost & Scheduling to lead the integrated cost management, planning and scheduling functions across a portfolio of complex projects. This role will provide accurate, timely and insightful project controls information to support effective decision-making, commercial performance and delivery outcomes. You will establish and maintain robust cost and schedule management frameworks, ensuring consistent application of controls, governance, systems and reporting standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include managing project controls teams and coordinating cost engineers, planners, schedulers and analysts; developing and maintaining integrated master schedules, budgets, forecasts and cost-loaded plans; monitoring project performance against approved baselines; and analysing trends, variances, risks and opportunities. You will oversee earned value management, change control, estimates at completion, cash-flow forecasting, progress measurement and monthly reporting. The role will also involve reviewing contractor and consultant submissions, validating progress claims, supporting procurement and contract management activities, and preparing clear reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders. You will promote effective collaboration across project delivery, engineering, finance, commercial and operational teams while ensuring project controls data is accurate, consistent and auditable.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in project controls, cost management, planning or scheduling, ideally within major infrastructure, construction, engineering, energy or similarly complex project environments. You will possess strong knowledge of project management methodologies, cost and schedule control principles, change management, risk integration and performance reporting. Experience with enterprise project controls and scheduling systems, together with advanced capability in data analysis and reporting tools, is highly desirable. A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, project management, finance or a related discipline will be valued. You will be a confident leader and communicator who can influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, develop high-performing teams and provide commercially sound advice in a fast-paced environment.
