This role would suit an organised and proactive professional who can interpret regulatory requirements, build strong working relationships and provide practical, risk-based advice.

Key responsibilities will include monitoring compliance with environmental permits, consents and management plans; coordinating inspections, audits and corrective actions; maintaining accurate environmental records and reporting systems; and preparing clear reports for internal stakeholders and relevant regulatory bodies. Applicants should have experience in an environmental compliance, environmental management or related role, ideally within a regulated operational, industrial, infrastructure or construction setting. A sound understanding of environmental legislation, permitting processes, auditing principles and environmental risk assessment is essential. Relevant professional qualifications or membership of an appropriate environmental body are desirable. You will need strong analytical, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, investigate issues thoroughly and explain technical requirements to a range of audiences. Confidence using standard business software and environmental data or reporting systems is also expected. A full driving licence and willingness to travel to operational sites may be required.
