CSA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced CSA Engineer to support the delivery of complex construction and engineering projects. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise across civil, structural and architectural disciplines, ensuring that design, installation and construction activities are coordinated effectively and completed to the required standards.

Working closely with project managers, design teams, contractors and other stakeholders, you will help develop practical engineering solutions, resolve technical issues and maintain progress throughout the project lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate civil, structural and architectural designs, drawings and specifications.
  • Provide engineering support during design development, procurement, construction and commissioning.
  • Monitor works on site to ensure compliance with approved designs, relevant standards, health and safety requirements and quality procedures.
  • Identify design clashes, technical risks and construction issues, recommending effective solutions.
  • Review contractor submissions, method statements, inspection and test plans, and technical documentation.
  • Attend design, progress and coordination meetings, recording actions and following up outstanding matters.
  • Support the management of change, requests for information, technical queries and non-conformance reports.
  • Maintain accurate project records and contribute to progress reporting and handover documentation.

About you

You will have proven experience in a CSA engineering or construction environment, ideally working on large-scale industrial, commercial, manufacturing or infrastructure projects. A relevant engineering or construction qualification is preferred, together with a strong understanding of construction methods, design coordination and applicable UK standards and regulations.

You should be confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications, using common engineering and document-control systems, and communicating clearly with colleagues, clients and contractors. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and quality will be highly valued.

This role may require regular site attendance and occasional travel. In return, you will have the opportunity to contribute to technically challenging projects and develop your career within a supportive professional environment.
