We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of complex infrastructure, construction, maintenance, and improvement projects within a busy port environment. This role will coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with applicable regulatory and operational requirements. The successful candidate will manage projects from initial concept and feasibility through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Key responsibilities include developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, risk registers, procurement strategies, and execution plans; appointing and managing consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers; reviewing designs, specifications, estimates, and technical submissions; and monitoring progress against approved milestones and costs. You will lead project meetings, maintain accurate documentation, prepare status reports, manage change control, and identify and resolve issues that may affect delivery. The role will also require close coordination with port operations, engineering, finance, environmental, safety, security, regulatory, and other internal and external stakeholders to minimise disruption to ongoing activities.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline, together with substantial experience delivering major capital or infrastructure projects. Professional project management certification or registration is desirable. You will need strong knowledge of construction methods, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, and health and safety practices. Experience working in a port, marine, transportation, industrial, or similarly complex operational environment would be advantageous. Excellent communication, negotiation, organisation, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure. A proactive, collaborative approach and a strong commitment to safety, accountability, and high-quality project outcomes are required.
