Key responsibilities include reviewing contract documents, plans, specifications, and estimates; developing and maintaining project schedules and cost forecasts; managing change orders, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and closeout documentation; and monitoring production against established milestones. The Project Manager will lead progress meetings, communicate regularly with project stakeholders, identify and resolve field issues, and ensure work complies with contractual requirements, applicable DOT standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies. This position will also support estimating and project pursuit activities, build strong relationships with owners and subcontractors, and provide leadership to project engineers, superintendents, and administrative staff.
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, engineering technology, or a related field, along with substantial experience managing heavy civil or DOT projects. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment. The role requires regular travel to active jobsites, the ability to review plans and reports, and occasional extended hours based on project demands.
