We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Engineer to support the planning, pricing, and financial control of construction and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will prepare accurate cost estimates, analyse technical documentation, and develop budgets for projects at different stages, from early feasibility through tendering and delivery. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and suppliers to ensure that cost assumptions are realistic, transparent, and aligned with project requirements.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and contract documents; gathering and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations; and identifying labour, material, equipment, and logistical costs. You will prepare tender submissions, cost plans, forecasts, and regular financial reports, while monitoring changes, risks, and potential savings throughout the project lifecycle. You will also support change order management, conduct cost comparisons, maintain estimating databases, and contribute to the continuous improvement of calculation methods, templates, and processes. Clear documentation and effective communication will be essential when presenting estimates and explaining financial impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, project controls, or a similar role within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or industrial projects. A degree or vocational qualification in engineering, construction management, economics, or a related field is advantageous. You should be confident working with spreadsheets and cost calculation tools, able to interpret technical information, and comfortable handling multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy. Knowledge of contracts, procurement procedures, risk analysis, and project planning is beneficial. Strong analytical and organisational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to collaborate effectively are essential. Professional fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Swedish or another Nordic language is an advantage.
