Software Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer to help ensure the delivery of reliable, secure and high-performing software products. Working closely with developers, product managers, business analysts and other stakeholders, you will contribute to quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You will help define test strategies, identify potential risks and promote effective quality practices across agile delivery teams.

Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining detailed test plans, test cases and automated test scripts; carrying out functional, regression, integration, system and exploratory testing; and recording, investigating and tracking defects through to resolution. You will collaborate with engineering teams to improve test coverage, support continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks. You will also assist with performance, accessibility, usability and security testing where required, review technical and business requirements, and provide clear reports on test outcomes, risks and release readiness.

The successful candidate will have experience in software quality assurance or software testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect management and agile development practices. Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, API testing, version control systems and CI/CD environments is highly desirable. You should be comfortable working with technologies such as web applications, databases and cloud-based platforms, and be able to interpret requirements and technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and clear communication are essential. A collaborative approach, a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment will be key to success in this role.
