We are supporting a major international contractor delivering a large-scale rail programme in the Greater Toronto Area. With extensive works taking place within a live operational environment, they are looking to strengthen their team with experienced track professionals.

This is a key opportunity to join a high-profile project where works must be carefully planned and executed alongside operating rail services, requiring a strong focus on safety, coordination, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support track construction, installation, maintenance, or renewal works
  • Coordinate activities within live rail corridors, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Interface with operations teams, controllers, and subcontractors to plan safe access and work execution
  • Lead or support site crews, supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, operating rules, and project procedures
  • Monitor quality, productivity, and progress across track works
  • Support planning and execution of possessions, work blocks, and track access

Requirements

  • Strong experience in rail track (construction, maintenance, or operations)
  • Experience working within live railway environments is highly desirable
  • Background in roles such as Track Supervisor, Foreman, Superintendent, Protection Specialist, or similar
  • Solid understanding of rail safety, access planning, and coordination with operations
  • Experience with ballasted track, direct fixation, switches and crossovers is beneficial
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
