We are seeking a Junior RAMS/Systems Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of safe, reliable and compliant engineering systems across complex projects. Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams, you will contribute to the development, coordination and maintenance of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) activities throughout the project lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop practical experience in systems assurance, risk management and safety engineering within a structured and collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation and review of RAMS plans, hazard logs, risk assessments, safety cases and assurance documentation. You will help gather and analyse reliability and performance data, track safety-related actions, contribute to failure mode and effects analyses, and assist with requirements capture and verification. You will also support the production of technical reports, assurance evidence and project deliverables, ensuring that documentation is accurate, traceable and aligned with relevant standards, legislation and contractual requirements. Regular communication with engineering disciplines, suppliers, project managers and other stakeholders will be an important part of the role.
Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in systems engineering, safety engineering, reliability engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline. Some experience through an internship, placement or graduate role in RAMS, systems assurance, risk assessment or safety-critical engineering would be beneficial. You should have strong analytical and written communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to organise tasks effectively while working to deadlines. Familiarity with engineering standards, risk management techniques, requirements management or safety-critical industries is desirable, but full training and mentoring will be provided. A proactive approach, willingness to learn and confidence working collaboratively are essential.
