We are seeking an experienced EPC Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of major engineering, procurement and construction projects in El Paso, Texas. This role will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating engineering disciplines, procurement activities, construction execution and commissioning to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget. The successful candidate will serve as a key link between project management, engineering teams, contractors, vendors and clients.
Responsibilities will include reviewing project scopes, specifications, schedules and budgets; coordinating multidisciplinary engineering deliverables; monitoring design progress and resolving technical issues; supporting equipment and material procurement; and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards and project requirements. You will review drawings, calculations, construction packages and vendor documentation, participate in design and constructability reviews, and provide technical support during construction and commissioning. The role will also involve tracking risks, changes, action items and engineering performance, preparing progress updates, and contributing to project meetings, field inspections and client discussions. A strong focus on safety, quality assurance, document control and effective communication is essential.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline and have substantial experience supporting or leading EPC projects, preferably within an industrial, energy, manufacturing, infrastructure or process environment. Professional registration or progress toward registration is advantageous. You should have a strong understanding of engineering interfaces, procurement processes, construction methods, project controls and applicable industry standards, together with the ability to interpret technical documentation and manage competing priorities. Experience with project management systems, engineering design tools and document control platforms is desirable. The position requires confident stakeholder management, sound commercial awareness, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Occasional travel to project, client or supplier locations may be required.
