Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee field operations for utility-scale wind energy and heavy civil infrastructure projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in managing large crews, subcontractors, schedules, and budgets in fast-paced, safety-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day site construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and materials on-site.
* Develop and maintain construction schedules, updating progress and mitigating delays.
* Ensure compliance with project plans, specs, safety regulations, and quality standards.
* Collaborate with project engineers, superintendents, and corporate leadership to drive results.
* Monitor budget performance and assist with cost control and forecasting.
* Conduct site meetings, inspections, and safety briefings.
* Resolve field issues proactively and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in construction management within wind energy, heavy civil, or related infrastructure sectors.
* Strong knowledge of wind turbine foundations, access roads, crane pads, transmission lines, and/or substations.
* Proven ability to manage site operations, subcontractors, and heavy equipment logistics.
* Proficient in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain prior to mobilization).
* Willingness to travel and work in remote project locations for extended periods.
* Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
* Prior experience on EPC wind energy or renewable infrastructure projects.
