To lead the execution and management of EPC contracts for large-scale renewable energy projects, while overseeing supply chain and procurement activities. The role requires deep expertise in contract negotiation, execution under FIDIC frameworks, supplier performance management, procurement strategy, and risk mitigation to drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and project success.
KPIs:EPC Contract Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to FIDIC contract terms, deliverables, and obligations across all projects.
Cost Savings and Optimization: Achieve measurable cost reductions through strategic procurement and EPC contract negotiations.
Contractor and Supplier Performance: Monitor and enforce EPC and supplier compliance with quality, timelines, and corporate policies.
Procurement and Contract Cycle Efficiency: Reduce cycle times from requisition to contract finalization to enhance project speed.
Risk Management and Compliance: Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement and contractual risks within FIDIC and regulatory frameworks.
Dispute Resolution Effectiveness: Track resolution rates and outcomes for disputes managed under FIDIC guidelines.
Budget Management: Maintain procurement and EPC contract costs within approved budgets.
Process Improvement Initiatives: Drive measurable improvements in EPC contract and procurement processes across business units.
Key Activities:Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement plans aligned with EPC project requirements and FIDIC contract standards.
Lead negotiations of high-value EPC contracts to optimize cost, quality, risk exposure, and timeline adherence.
Manage global supplier and EPC contractor relationships, ensuring performance against KPIs, sustainability, and contractual obligations.
Oversee supply chain risk management across international logistics, inventory, and local procurement activities.
Provide expert support on FIDIC contract interpretation, amendments, and dispute resolution processes.
Evaluate and select EPC contractors through robust bid assessments covering technical, financial, and commercial criteria.
Conduct performance audits and implement corrective action plans with contractors and key suppliers.
Continuously improve procurement and contract management processes to enhance value delivery and operational efficiency.
Ensure alignment of procurement activities with corporate ESG, ethical sourcing, and sustainability standards.
Collaborate with internal legal teams on EPC contract negotiations, claims management, and contract variations.
Oversee local logistics operations, including warehousing, customs clearance, and local supplier engagement.
Support in-country teams on procurement and logistics operations, driving local market engagement where required.
Competencies:Deep expertise in FIDIC-based EPC contract negotiation, administration, and compliance.
Strong technical understanding of renewable energy project supply chains.
Advanced supplier management skills and procurement strategy experience.
Proficiency in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and dispute management.
Commercially astute with strong analytical, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing complex, cross-border procurement projects.
Skilled in ERP systems and contract management software.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Qualifications Required:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years' experience in EPC contract management, procurement, or supply chain roles within the renewable energy sector.
Demonstrated success managing large EPC contracts for solar, wind, or other renewable energy projects across multiple geographies.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Project Finance Analyst to join their growing team in Nairobi, Kenya, supporting the financial structuring and execution of renewable energy projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of financial models and project valuations to inform investment decisions and funding strategies.
Support structuring, negotiation, and closing of project finance transactions.
Liaise with local and international lenders, DFIs, and fund managers across the entire financing lifecycle.
Prepare accurate financial and ESG reports for stakeholders, including DFIs and senior lenders.
Monitor existing project debt: covenant compliance, drawdowns, and repayment schedules.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across active projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial goals align with project delivery and operational targets.
Your Profile
Proven experience in project finance-ideally within the infrastructure, renewable energy, or telecom sectors.
Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, including valuation and scenario planning.
Understanding of lender and DFI reporting requirements.
Track record of managing lender relationships and ensuring financial model compliance.
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with multidisciplinary teams.
Regional experience in Africa or other emerging markets is a plus.

Candidate ProfileExperience and Expertise2-4 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity, or infrastructure advisory, ideally within the energy or utilities sectors
Demonstrated track record of building, maintaining, and auditing complex financial models for infrastructure or energy-related investments
Strong understanding of infrastructure finance fundamentals including PPAs, EPC/O&M contracts, and concessional frameworks
Experience working with international banks, DFIs, investment funds, or financial advisory firms in emerging markets
Solid project management capabilities with experience in cross-functional team environments
Skills and AttributesExceptional financial modeling and analytical skills with deep Excel proficiency; VBA, Python, or financial modeling certifications are a plus
Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Fluent in English; French is an advantage
