Job Title - Site Technician
Location - North America
Contract Length - 12 Months
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular safety inspections of the site to identify potential hazards and risks, ensuring that audits and corrective actions are recorded for tracking and management.
2. Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
3. Provide safety training to employees on emergency procedures, hazard recognition, and the use of personal protective equipment.
4. Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
5. Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and inspection findings.
6. Collaborate with site management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, recommending improvements when necessary.
8. Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure site compliance with safety standards.
9. Serve as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns, questions, and issues.
10. Participate in safety committees and meetings to discuss safety performance, trends, and initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Certification in occupational health and safety, such as OSHA 30-hour General Industry or Construction Safety.
2. Previous experience in a safety-related role (e.g., safety technician, safety coordinator, or safety specialist).
3. Knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NFPA) and industry-specific regulations.
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate safety policies and procedures.
5. Ability to conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and develop corrective actions to mitigate risks.
6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to foster a culture of safety at the site.
8. Willingness to stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements through continuing education and professional development.
