Quality Assurance Technician
We are currently seeking experienced Quality Technicians to support major onshore wind projects across Germany. This is a freelance opportunity working on concrete tower construction, offering rotational work and long-term involvement in large-scale renewable energy projects.
Work Location: Germany (site-based, rotation)
Project Overview
The role supports the construction and installation of concrete towers for onshore wind turbine projects.
Role Summary
As a Quality Technician (Site), you will be responsible for supporting quality assurance and control activities during the construction and installation phases of concrete tower projects, ensuring that required standards and procedures are followed on site.
This is a freelance, site-based position operating on a rotation of 4 weeks on 1 week off.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement quality procedures on site and ensure adherence to the Quality Control Plan
- Support and monitor the correct execution of construction subprocesses for concrete tower installation
- Inspect incoming materials including concrete tower segments, grouting materials and tower internals
- Check the correct pre-assembly of tower internals within concrete segments
- Participate in audits during pre-assembly and installation phases
- Assist with final inspections prior to handover to project management
- Identify, record and track non-conformities during construction
- Review subcontractor quality documentation and report any deviations
- Provide regular updates on quality status and construction progress
- Attend site and project meetings as required
- Coordinate with site and project quality teams to ensure consistent standards
Candidate Profile
- Technical qualification in engineering, construction or a related field
- Experience in construction, ideally within wind energy or similar infrastructure projects
- Basic to intermediate understanding of QA/QC processes and site procedures
- Ability to identify and report technical or quality issues on site
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Fluent English (German beneficial but not essential)
- Valid driving licence
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel and work on a rotating site schedule across Germany
Flexibility to work on-site in line with project demands.
Unrestricted, Non-sponsored Right to Work in Europe is required for this position.
