Electrical Package Manager
Electrical Package Manager
An experienced Electrical Package Manager is required to lead the delivery of electrical works on a complex construction or engineering project. This role will be responsible for managing the package from design development and procurement through to installation, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring that all activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required technical standards.
Working closely with project managers, designers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams, you will coordinate interfaces between electrical systems and other disciplines. You will monitor progress, manage technical queries, review design information and ensure that construction activities remain aligned with the approved programme, budget and quality requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the complete electrical package, including design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and specialist consultants, ensuring work is properly planned and resourced.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, method statements and inspection plans.
- Monitor programme performance, costs, material deliveries and construction progress.
- Lead progress meetings and maintain clear records of actions, risks, changes and technical decisions.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, project specifications and health and safety requirements.
- Support the resolution of design, quality and interface issues, escalating risks where appropriate.
- Oversee inspection, testing, commissioning and the production of accurate handover documentation.
About you
You will have proven experience managing electrical packages on major construction, infrastructure, industrial or commercial projects. A strong understanding of electrical building services, power distribution, lighting, containment, controls and associated systems is essential. Experience managing specialist contractors and working within multidisciplinary project teams is also required.
You should be commercially aware, highly organised and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels. The ability to interpret technical documentation, manage competing priorities and drive delivery in a time-sensitive environment is important. A relevant electrical engineering or building services qualification is desirable, together with appropriate site safety training and professional accreditation.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a significant electrical workstream and contribute to the successful delivery of a high-quality project.
