A relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable, together with a strong understanding of project management principles and applicable UK regulations.
You should be commercially aware, confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels and able to make sound decisions in a changing environment. Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams, budgets and technical risk is essential. Familiarity with common project management software and relevant water-sector standards would be advantageous.
