Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing stormwater management strategies, hydrological and hydraulic assessments, flood studies, drainage designs and water-sensitive urban design solutions. You will undertake catchment analysis and modelling, interpret technical data, assess flood risk and develop mitigation measures for both greenfield and brownfield sites. The role will also involve producing technical reports, drawings, specifications, calculations and cost estimates, as well as supporting planning and environmental approvals. You will coordinate project deliverables, manage programmes and budgets, contribute to tenders and proposals, and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members. Occasional site inspections and construction-phase support may also be required.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering or a related discipline, with professional experience in stormwater, drainage, floodplain or water management projects. Strong knowledge of relevant design standards, legislation, approval processes and industry practices is essential. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software, such as DRAINS, TUFLOW, XP-RAFTS, MUSIC or equivalent tools, will be highly regarded. You will need excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, sound commercial awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality technical outcomes. Professional registration or progress towards chartered status is desirable. In return, you can expect varied project work, professional development opportunities and a collaborative environment that supports technical growth and innovation.
