The successful candidate will contribute to projects involving water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, pipelines, reservoirs, networks, and associated civil, mechanical, electrical, and process infrastructure.

Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical documentation, specifications, calculations, drawings, schedules, and reports; coordinating multidisciplinary design activities; monitoring project progress, costs, risks, and programme performance; and supporting procurement, tendering, construction, commissioning, and handover activities. You will attend design and progress meetings, assist with resolving technical issues, review contractor submissions, and ensure works comply with relevant legislation, standards, permits, and health and safety requirements. The role may also involve site visits, inspections, commissioning support, and providing technical guidance to less experienced team members.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in civil, environmental, water, wastewater, mechanical, process, or a related engineering discipline, together with relevant experience delivering infrastructure or treatment projects. Experience in water or wastewater engineering, project coordination, design management, or construction support is highly desirable. You should be confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications, managing competing priorities, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills are essential, along with proficiency in relevant engineering, project management, and document control software. Professional registration or progress towards professional accreditation would be advantageous. A commitment to quality, sustainability, safe working practices, and continuous improvement is expected.
