Senior Civil Project Engineer-Land Development

We are seeking a Senior Civil Project Engineer – Land Development to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects. This role will support land development initiatives from concept through construction, ensuring that projects are technically sound, commercially viable, compliant with applicable regulations, and delivered to agreed timeframes. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders to coordinate project requirements and achieve high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include managing civil engineering projects and design packages; preparing and reviewing engineering plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates; overseeing earthworks, roadways, drainage, stormwater, utilities, grading, and erosion and sediment control designs; and coordinating approvals with relevant authorities. You will provide technical leadership to project teams, review deliverables for quality and compliance, monitor budgets and schedules, identify project risks, and support construction teams with technical advice and issue resolution. The role will also involve mentoring junior engineers, contributing to tender preparation, managing consultant performance, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Applicants should hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have substantial experience delivering land development or civil infrastructure projects, preferably within a consulting, construction, or development environment. Professional registration or eligibility for registration will be highly regarded. You will need strong knowledge of relevant design standards, development regulations, civil engineering software, and project management practices, along with proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing projects through design and construction. Excellent communication, analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills are essential. The successful candidate will be proactive, commercially aware, and capable of working independently while providing clear technical direction and building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
