Senior MEP Project Manager - Mission Critical

We are seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex mechanical, electrical and public health systems across mission-critical facilities. This role will oversee projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required technical and quality standards. You will act as a senior point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers, coordinating multidisciplinary teams in a demanding operational environment.

Responsibilities will include managing MEP design development, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities; reviewing specifications, drawings, method statements and technical submissions; and coordinating interfaces between building services, structural and architectural packages. You will establish project controls, monitor progress and cost performance, manage change, and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders. The role will also involve identifying and mitigating risks, resolving technical and programme issues, leading progress meetings, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and client requirements. A strong focus on quality assurance, health and safety, documentation and successful handover will be essential.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing major MEP projects, ideally within data centres, critical infrastructure, healthcare, pharmaceutical, high-technology or similarly complex environments. A degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical, electrical, building services engineering or a related discipline is preferred, together with proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and specialist subcontractors. You will need strong commercial, organisational and communication skills, as well as the confidence to make decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure settings. Experience with commissioning management, construction methodologies, project management systems and relevant MEP standards will be highly valued. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented and committed to delivering reliable, resilient facilities to the highest professional standards.
