We are seeking an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects that improve water quality, system reliability, and environmental outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to develop practical engineering experience while working alongside experienced engineers, technical specialists, and project managers on a variety of public and private sector projects.

Responsibilities will include assisting with the design and analysis of water and wastewater treatment systems, pumping stations, pipelines, storage facilities, and related infrastructure. You will help prepare calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and permit documentation. The role will also involve reviewing data, conducting site visits, supporting surveys and inspections, participating in project meetings, and contributing to construction support and commissioning activities. You may be required to coordinate with clients, contractors, regulators, and other design disciplines to help ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or a closely related engineering discipline. An interest in water and wastewater treatment, hydraulics, hydrology, or municipal infrastructure is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are required. Familiarity with engineering software, computer-aided design tools, hydraulic modelling packages, or Microsoft Office applications would be advantageous. Candidates should be organised, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. A relevant internship, placement, academic project, or field experience is beneficial but not essential. The role may require occasional travel to project sites and the ability to work safely in office, laboratory, and field environments.
