We are seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support the planning, design, delivery, and coordination of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced engineers, project managers, technical specialists, contractors, and clients, you will contribute to projects involving water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, pipelines, drainage systems, storage facilities, and related civil infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to develop practical engineering and project management experience in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with engineering assessments, calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and construction documentation. You will help coordinate design reviews, monitor project progress, track actions and deliverables, and support the preparation of tender and procurement information. The role may also involve reviewing contractor submissions, attending site visits and meetings, documenting observations, assisting with quality and safety processes, and helping resolve technical issues during construction. You will be expected to maintain accurate project records, communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant standards, regulations, approval conditions, and project requirements.

Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline. An interest in water and wastewater infrastructure is essential, while familiarity with engineering design software, Microsoft Office, technical documentation, or project controls will be advantageous. We are looking for someone who is analytical, organised, proactive, and eager to learn, with strong written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a collaborative approach, sound problem-solving ability, and a commitment to health, safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and professional development. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites may be required.
