We are seeking a Stormwater/Water Resources Project Engineer to support the delivery of innovative, practical and sustainable water resources projects. This role will suit an experienced civil engineer who can combine strong technical capability with sound project management and a commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes for clients, communities and the environment. You will work across a varied portfolio of stormwater, drainage, flood resilience and water management projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, stakeholders and approval authorities.
Your responsibilities will include planning, designing and managing stormwater and water resources investigations and infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design, approvals, construction and completion. You will prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, hydraulic and hydrologic models, drainage strategies, flood assessments, water quality assessments, concept designs, specifications and cost estimates. You will also review engineering documentation, provide technical advice, support tender and procurement processes, monitor project budgets and programmes, and contribute to site inspections and construction support. To be successful, you will hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline and have relevant professional experience in stormwater, drainage, floodplain management or broader water resources engineering. Experience with industry-standard hydraulic and hydrologic modelling software, civil design packages and technical reporting is highly desirable. Professional registration or progress towards registration, together with knowledge of applicable Australian standards, guidelines and regulatory requirements, will be advantageous. You will be organised, analytical and commercially aware, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and contribute positively within a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
