We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental standards across operational activities. The successful candidate will provide visible leadership, expert guidance and practical support to managers, supervisors and employees, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, responsibly and in compliance with applicable legislation, permits, industry standards and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining and reviewing HSE policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work; conducting regular inspections, audits and workplace observations; investigating incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions; and ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are identified, tracked and completed. You will coordinate emergency preparedness activities, support environmental monitoring and waste-management programmes, and contribute to contractor and supplier HSE assurance. The role will also involve analysing performance data, preparing reports for senior management, delivering training and toolbox talks, and promoting a positive culture in which everyone takes responsibility for their own safety and that of others.

Applicants should have proven experience in an HSE leadership or management position, preferably within a complex operational, industrial, construction or engineering environment. A recognised qualification in occupational health and safety, environmental management or a related discipline is required, together with strong knowledge of relevant legislation, risk-management principles, incident investigation and audit processes. Professional membership or certification will be advantageous. You will be an effective communicator with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices, influence stakeholders at all levels and build constructive working relationships. Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
