Graduate Traffic Engineer (Dublin)

We are seeking a Graduate Traffic Engineer to join a professional team delivering transport planning, traffic engineering and infrastructure projects across Dublin and the wider region. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop practical experience while working alongside experienced engineers, planners and project managers on a varied portfolio of public and private sector schemes.

In this role, you will assist with traffic and transport assessments, junction analysis, traffic modelling, parking studies and the preparation of technical reports. You will contribute to the design and evaluation of road layouts, pedestrian and cycle facilities, traffic management measures and sustainable transport solutions. Responsibilities will also include collecting and analysing traffic data, preparing drawings and presentations, supporting site visits and surveys, liaising with project stakeholders, and helping to coordinate work to meet agreed budgets, programmes and quality standards.

Applicants should hold, or be working towards, a degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transport Planning or a related discipline. A sound understanding of traffic engineering principles, transport policy and sustainable mobility is desirable. Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, traffic modelling packages, GIS or data analysis tools would be advantageous, although full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with strong numerical, analytical and report-writing skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. The successful candidate will be organised, motivated and keen to learn, with a practical approach to problem-solving and a genuine interest in developing a career in transport engineering. The role is based in Dublin and may involve travel to project and client sites.
