An exciting opportunity is available for a Graduate Bridge Engineer to join a multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering team in Dublin. This entry-level role is suited to a motivated engineering graduate who is keen to develop a career in bridge design, assessment and infrastructure delivery. You will work alongside experienced engineers on a varied portfolio of bridge and transportation projects, gaining practical exposure from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction support and completion.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of structural calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications for new and existing bridges. You will support inspections, condition surveys and site investigations, help assess structural integrity, and contribute to the development of repair, strengthening and maintenance solutions. The role will also involve using engineering software and computer-aided design tools, coordinating technical information with project teams and other disciplines, attending site visits and meetings, and ensuring that work is delivered in line with relevant standards, health and safety requirements, programme objectives and quality procedures.

Applicants should hold, or be working towards, a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline. A sound understanding of structural analysis, mechanics and materials is desirable, together with an interest in bridges and transport infrastructure. Familiarity with design software, AutoCAD or similar drafting packages, and Microsoft Office applications would be advantageous. You should be analytical, organised and willing to learn, with strong communication and teamwork skills. The ability to manage priorities, demonstrate attention to detail and work effectively in both office and site environments is essential. Professional development and progression towards chartership will be supported.
