You will be responsible for preparing and coordinating civil engineering designs for residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments. Working closely with clients, architects, planners, surveyors, contractors and statutory authorities, you will help develop practical, compliant and cost-effective solutions that meet project objectives and approval requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Design and manage roads, drainage, earthworks, utilities and associated land development infrastructure.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, calculations, reports and planning or approval documentation.
- Coordinate project deliverables, programmes, budgets and resources across multiple schemes.
- Review designs and technical submissions to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Attend site visits, design meetings and construction progress meetings, providing technical guidance when required.
- Support junior engineers and technicians through mentoring, checking and knowledge sharing.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, contractors and approving authorities.
About you
You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering and have relevant experience in land development, infrastructure design or a related consultancy environment. Candidates should be confident using industry-standard design and modelling software, as well as relevant drainage, highway and infrastructure guidance.
Strong technical, organisational and communication skills are essential. You should be able to manage competing priorities, work independently and contribute positively within a multidisciplinary team. Commercial awareness, attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving will be highly valued.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on varied and technically challenging projects while developing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking engineering environment.
