We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Crew Chief to support water restoration projects across Raleigh, NC, and surrounding areas. This hands-on role is ideal for an organised, dependable professional who can lead field teams while helping coordinate projects from initial response through completion. You will assist with emergency water extraction, drying, cleaning, and restoration activities in residential and commercial properties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities include inspecting affected areas, documenting damage, establishing equipment and drying plans, and monitoring moisture levels throughout the restoration process. You will help schedule crews, assign daily tasks, communicate job updates to customers and project stakeholders, and maintain accurate records, photographs, and service reports. As Crew Chief, you will provide direction on-site, train and support technicians, verify that procedures are followed, and ensure equipment is properly installed, maintained, and removed. You may also assist with estimating, material tracking, subcontractor coordination, and resolving issues that arise during active projects. Emergency and after-hours response may be required, including participation in an on-call rotation.

Applicants should have experience in water mitigation, construction, property restoration, facilities maintenance, or a related field, along with the ability to work effectively in physically demanding and changing environments. Strong communication, problem-solving, time-management, and customer-service skills are essential. Experience leading a small team and familiarity with industry-standard drying practices, moisture meters, dehumidifiers, air movers, and documentation systems are highly desirable. A valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass any required background or driving checks are expected. Certification in water restoration or related areas is an advantage, though training may be provided to the right candidate.
