Electrical Package Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Package Manager to oversee the successful delivery of electrical works across a major construction or engineering project. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the electrical package from design development and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover.

Working closely with project managers, design teams, contractors and suppliers, you will ensure that all electrical activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. You will provide technical leadership on site while maintaining strong commercial and contractual awareness throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities Manage the planning, coordination and delivery of the electrical package, ensuring alignment with the overall project programme. Review electrical designs, specifications, drawings and technical submissions, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for improvement. Coordinate subcontractors, specialist suppliers and commissioning teams to ensure effective delivery of the works. Monitor progress, quality, costs and resources, reporting risks and variances to the project leadership team. Ensure all installations comply with relevant British Standards, regulations, approved designs and project requirements. Lead inspections, testing, commissioning and the resolution of technical issues or defects. Support procurement activities, including the assessment of tenders, supplier selection and management of purchase orders. Maintain accurate records, progress reports, technical documentation and handover information. Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture across all electrical activities. About you

You will have substantial experience managing electrical packages on large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial or commercial projects. A recognised electrical qualification, such as an HNC, HND or degree, is desirable, alongside relevant site experience and a strong understanding of electrical installation practices.

You should be confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications, managing subcontractors and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding project deadlines.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience in Project Management, preferably within large-scale projects, ideally data centres, pharmaceutical, or industrial.Strong track record of coordinating and managing complex electrical and mechanical systems projects.Experience handling industrial relations matters.Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and practices.Experience in design and build projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant mechanical software and excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systemsStrong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive team performance.
