Foreman - Water/Wastewater - Raleigh

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead field operations on water and wastewater construction projects in the Raleigh area. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and project schedules. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of underground utilities, site construction, and water or wastewater infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include supervising daily activities such as installing water mains, sanitary sewer, stormwater systems, manholes, lift stations, and related structures. You will review drawings and specifications, plan crew assignments, monitor production, and coordinate work with project managers, inspectors, utility representatives, and other trades. The Foreman will maintain accurate records of labour, materials, equipment, deliveries, and progress, while identifying potential delays or site issues and helping implement effective solutions. You will also inspect completed work, support testing and tie-ins, and ensure the site is properly maintained throughout construction.

Applicants should have several years of experience in water, wastewater, utility, or heavy civil construction, including previous experience leading a field crew. The ability to read and interpret civil drawings, utility plans, and grade stakes is essential. A strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements, excavation practices, trench safety, confined-space awareness, and quality-control procedures is expected. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions are required. Effective communication, dependable attendance, sound judgement, and the ability to manage changing priorities are important for success.
