We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the planning, delivery and successful completion of engineering projects from concept through to commissioning. This role will suit a technically capable professional who can coordinate multiple activities, communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, budget and schedule. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, operations and external partners to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Your responsibilities will include preparing project plans, schedules, technical documentation, cost estimates and progress reports; coordinating design reviews and resolving technical issues; monitoring project scope, risks, costs and milestones; and ensuring that changes are assessed, documented and implemented appropriately. You will review drawings, specifications and contractor submissions, support procurement and tender activities, and assist with site inspections, installation, testing and commissioning. The role also involves maintaining accurate project records, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring that all work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards, internal procedures and health and safety requirements.

Applicants should have a degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in engineering, project management or a related technical discipline, together with experience supporting or delivering engineering projects. Experience in a regulated, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure or construction environment would be advantageous. You should be confident interpreting technical information, using project management and document control systems, and working with budgets, schedules and risk registers. Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise competing demands and build effective working relationships. A proactive approach, attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication will be highly valued. Depending on project requirements, occasional travel to operational or construction sites may be necessary.
