Project Manager - MEP

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – MEP to lead the successful delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health services across complex construction and engineering projects. The successful candidate will manage projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This role will involve close collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include planning and coordinating MEP activities, reviewing design information, managing procurement and subcontractor performance, and monitoring progress against approved programmes and budgets. You will chair and attend project meetings, maintain accurate project documentation, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure that technical issues, variations and potential delays are addressed promptly. You will also oversee commissioning, testing and handover, ensuring that systems meet specification, statutory requirements and operational needs. Maintaining strong communication and providing clear progress reports to senior management and project stakeholders will be an essential part of the role.

Applicants should have proven experience managing MEP projects within a construction, engineering or building services environment, together with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, construction methods, health and safety legislation, quality control and contract administration. A relevant technical or construction-related qualification is desirable, along with experience using project management and scheduling tools. You will be commercially aware, highly organised and confident working under pressure, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build effective working relationships. Strong problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills are essential, as is a proactive approach to managing competing priorities and delivering consistently high standards.
