Sr. Project Manager - MEP Construction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) construction projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for project performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. This role will involve coordinating multidisciplinary teams, specialist subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and client representatives across all project stages.

Key responsibilities will include developing and managing project programmes, budgets, procurement plans, risk registers and delivery strategies. You will oversee design coordination, technical submissions, shop drawings, commissioning activities and compliance with applicable regulations, specifications and construction standards. The role will require strong control of change, cost, resources and progress, together with accurate reporting to senior stakeholders. You will chair progress and coordination meetings, resolve technical and commercial issues, monitor subcontractor performance and ensure that health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are consistently maintained. A proactive approach to project close-out, testing, commissioning, documentation and final handover will also be essential.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing MEP construction projects, preferably within commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential or large-scale mixed-use developments. A degree, diploma or recognised qualification in mechanical, electrical, building services, construction management or a related discipline is preferred. You should demonstrate strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methodologies, contract administration, planning and project controls. Experience with relevant project management and scheduling software will be advantageous. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships at all levels. The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware, decisive and committed to achieving safe, efficient and high-quality project outcomes.
