We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to support the delivery of major rail and metro projects in the Philippines. This role will provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle, from early feasibility and concept development through detailed design, construction, testing, commissioning and operational readiness. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure that solutions are safe, practical, compliant with applicable standards and aligned with project requirements, programme objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities include leading the development and review of technical studies, design packages, specifications, calculations, drawings and interface requirements; coordinating civil, structural, systems, rolling stock, signalling, communications, electrical, mechanical and architectural disciplines; and managing technical risks, design changes, non-conformances and engineering queries. You will oversee design assurance and verification activities, support procurement and tender evaluations, and provide technical input during construction, testing and commissioning. The role will also involve working closely with contractors, consultants, government agencies, operators and other project stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain technical alignment and support timely decision-making. You will contribute to project reporting, lessons learned, quality improvement and the development of engineering procedures and standards.

Applicants should hold a degree in engineering or a closely related discipline, with substantial experience delivering complex rail, metro or major transportation infrastructure projects. A professional engineering licence or recognised industry accreditation is highly desirable. You will have a strong understanding of multidisciplinary rail systems, interface management, safety assurance, quality management and relevant international and local standards. Experience working in the Philippines or comparable operating environments, together with knowledge of local permitting and regulatory requirements, would be advantageous. Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and influence teams in a demanding project environment.
