We are seeking a Civil Associate, Water Resources to support the delivery of innovative and sustainable infrastructure projects across water, drainage, flood risk management and related civil engineering disciplines. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design, procurement and construction, while collaborating with clients, contractors, regulators and multidisciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, specifications, calculations and cost estimates; undertaking hydraulic, hydrologic and civil engineering assessments; contributing to flood risk, drainage and water management studies; and supporting the development of practical, resilient design solutions. Experience with industry-standard design and analysis software, such as hydraulic modelling, CAD or GIS platforms, is desirable, along with a sound understanding of UK engineering standards, planning requirements and environmental considerations. You should be able to demonstrate strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a collaborative team. Professional registration, or active progress towards professional accreditation, would be advantageous. A commitment to quality, safety, sustainability and inclusive working practices is essential.
