Civil Engineer II - Water Resources

We are seeking a Civil Engineer II – Water Resources to support the planning, design, and delivery of water-related infrastructure projects. This role is suited to an engineer with professional experience in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, flood risk assessment, and civil infrastructure design. You will work as part of multidisciplinary project teams, contributing to projects from early investigations and feasibility studies through detailed design, construction support, and completion.

Key responsibilities will include preparing technical reports, calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and tender documentation for water resources projects. You will develop and review hydraulic and hydrologic models; assess drainage networks, channels, culverts, detention systems, and flood mitigation measures; and support the design of water, wastewater, stormwater, and related civil infrastructure. The role will also involve interpreting survey, geotechnical, environmental, and planning information; coordinating with internal and external stakeholders; assisting with site inspections; responding to technical queries; and providing construction-phase support. You may also contribute to project scheduling, fee proposals, risk assessments, quality reviews, and mentoring less-experienced team members.

Applicants should hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline and have relevant professional experience in water resources or civil infrastructure projects. Professional registration, eligibility for registration, or progress toward chartered or licensed status is desirable. Experience with industry-standard design and modelling software, such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, TUFLOW, InfoWorks, or comparable platforms, will be advantageous. Strong technical writing, analytical, communication, and project coordination skills are essential, along with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively both independently and within a team. A commitment to safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and continuous professional development is expected. A valid driving licence and the ability to attend project and construction sites may be required.
