Senior Water & Sewer Television Inspector - Stormwater

We are seeking an experienced Senior Water & Sewer Television Inspector – Stormwater to lead and undertake CCTV inspections of stormwater drainage networks, culverts, pits, pipes and associated infrastructure. This role will support asset condition assessment, maintenance planning and renewal programs by delivering accurate, high-quality inspection data. You will operate specialist television inspection equipment, assess network condition, identify defects and obstructions, and produce clear records that support informed engineering and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating daily inspection activities; conducting pre-inspection site assessments and traffic or public safety controls; operating CCTV and related field equipment; cleaning, locating and inspecting drainage assets; and recording structural, service and operational defects in accordance with relevant industry standards. You will review footage and inspection results for quality and completeness, prepare detailed reports, maintain accurate asset information, and provide technical advice to field crews, engineers and other stakeholders. The position may also involve mentoring less experienced inspectors, assisting with programming and prioritising works, investigating customer or operational issues, and supporting emergency response activities when required.

To be successful, you will have substantial experience in CCTV inspection of stormwater, sewer or water infrastructure, together with strong knowledge of drainage systems, asset condition assessment and inspection technologies. Experience using industry-standard CCTV software, databases and reporting systems is highly desirable. You will need the ability to interpret plans and technical information, identify defects accurately, and work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A strong commitment to safety, environmental protection and quality assurance is essential, along with good written and verbal communication skills. Relevant trade, civil construction or infrastructure qualifications, a current driver’s licence, and any required construction or confined-space certifications will be advantageous.
