SCADA Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced SCADA Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of industrial control and automation projects from initial concept through to commissioning and handover. This role will suit a confident project professional with a strong understanding of SCADA systems, industrial communications, PLC integration and operational technology environments. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client and stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.

Key responsibilities will include defining project scope, developing schedules, budgets, risk registers and delivery plans, and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will oversee system design, software development, control panel manufacture, site installation, testing, commissioning and documentation. The role will involve coordinating engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams, while managing changes, resolving technical or commercial issues, and maintaining clear project records. You will also support procurement, contract administration, project reporting and the preparation of progress updates for senior stakeholders. A strong focus on quality, health and safety, cybersecurity and compliance with relevant industry standards will be essential.

Applicants should have proven experience managing SCADA, automation, electrical or industrial control projects, ideally within utilities, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure or a similar technical environment. You will need excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, telemetry, industrial networking and systems integration is required, alongside experience with project management methodologies, budgeting and risk management. A relevant technical or project management qualification is desirable, as is experience working in regulated environments and managing full project lifecycles.
