CSA Construction Manager
CSA Construction Manager
An experienced CSA Construction Manager is required to oversee the successful delivery of civil, structural and architectural works on a complex construction project. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially aware construction professional to take responsibility for coordinating site activities, maintaining programme performance and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
You will manage construction activities from preparation through to completion, working closely with engineering, design, procurement, commissioning and subcontractor teams. The role will involve coordinating interfaces between multiple disciplines, resolving technical and logistical issues, and ensuring that all works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and supervise CSA construction activities, subcontractors and site teams.
- Coordinate works across civil, structural and architectural packages to maintain an efficient construction sequence.
- Monitor progress against the agreed programme, identifying delays and implementing effective recovery measures.
- Review drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements.
- Lead daily coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, environmental requirements and site-specific procedures.
- Monitor workmanship, quality records, snagging and completion activities.
- Support cost control, change management, procurement planning and the resolution of commercial issues.
- Prepare progress reports and provide accurate updates on programme, risks, resources and constraints.
About you
You will have substantial experience in a construction management role, ideally within a major industrial, infrastructure, commercial or technically complex project environment. A relevant qualification in construction, civil engineering, structural engineering or a related discipline is desirable, together with recognised site management and health and safety training.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sound technical judgement and excellent organisational skills. You must be confident managing competing priorities, engaging with clients and contractors, and driving high standards of safety, quality and delivery. The ability to work collaboratively while making decisive, practical decisions is essential.
