  • Coordinate engineering activities across water and wastewater projects, ensuring designs and construction requirements are clearly understood.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, calculations, programmes and method statements.
  • Support project planning, cost control, risk management and progress reporting.
  • Work with site teams and supply chain partners to resolve technical issues and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Attend meetings, site inspections and design reviews, providing clear technical input.
  • Assist with commissioning, project close-out, record documentation and lessons-learned activities.

About you

You will have a relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience, together with experience of working on infrastructure, utilities, water or wastewater projects. A sound understanding of engineering principles, construction processes and project controls is essential. Experience with relevant industry standards, contract arrangements and regulatory requirements would be advantageous.

You should be confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and able to organise competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is proactive, commercially aware and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes. A recognised engineering membership, working towards professional registration, or relevant site-based qualifications would be welcomed.

What is offered

You will join a supportive team working on meaningful projects that contribute to resilient water services and local communities. The role offers opportunities for professional development, varied project experience and progression within a technically focused environment. A full driving licence and willingness to travel to project and construction sites may be required.
